Life Mage.
The Life Mage is a well rounded PVM (Player vs. Monster) mage template. His high Life skill allows for easy vulns, drains and harms, and his use of having only Life magic specialized allows him to obtain HEALING, ARCANE, LEADERSHIP and LOCKPICK by level 80.
You should always start a full mage with 100 FOCUS and 100 SELF. The other attributes can be customized to your liking. If you can get a lot of twinking and care in the early (1-30) levels, you could opt for taking this character very extreme by starting with 100 STRENGTH.
After Level 9 you mix up the order in which you grab the next skills. You could even forfit a couple of them to grab a skill such as Bow for long range missle attacks (not recommended in most cases). By level 80 you could have every major skill available to you - including Arcane, Healing, Lockpick and Leadership.
